High above the river Naab lies the old town. Even in Karl IV's days, Nabburg was owner of charters. Nabburg is not only traditional, but offers its citizens quality in housing and living and also relaxation, culture and leisure activities to its guests. The new-built cycleway leads directly to our Czech twin town Horsovsky Tyn. A big leisure and recreation centre in Perschen, part of the town Nabburg, and the outdoor museum in Neusath-Perschen attract numerous visitors, even from far away. The historic old town still gives the impression of a town in the Middle Ages. Biennially, tens of thousands visitors come to celebrate the Mittelalterlichen Markt together with the inhabitants of Nabburg. Almost weekly there are concerts, cabaret and exhibitions in the Schmidt-Haus. Guided tours, especially scenic ones with the Venetian Merchant, give visitors the opportunity to get in touch with the history of Nabburg. Besides, Nabburg has all kinds of secondary schools. Industry and floor space give the opportunity for business-settlement.A vivid mixture of industrial factories, service providers and tradesmen provides for the town and the region around.
