Oberpfälzer Freilandmuseum Neusath-Perschen
Oberpfälzer Freilandmuseum:The “Oberpfälzer Freilandmuseum“ the open-air museum in Neusath-Perschen, it gives an insight into the agricultural life in previous times. Like other open-air exhibitions it is a educational establishment with a high value in terms of experience. The 50 rebuilt buildings show the construction work, the living conditions and the house-keeping of the past 300 years in regional and cultural varieties.
Buildings, that could not be preserved at their original locations were transferred into the museum and step by step, it was authentically furnished.
Three kilometres away from Neusath the nucleus of the “Oberpfälzer Freilandmuseum“ is the “Edelmannshof“ in Perschen, which was preserved in its tracks. The former parish court, that was extended in 1605, was opened in 1964 as “Oberpfälzer Bauernmuseum Perschen“ and belongs to the oldest museums of its kind in Bavaria.
